Moisture Block Air Dryer, 30 CFM, 1/2, 200 PSI Max Pressure, for Spray Painting. The Moisture Block is a simple, ruggedly built compressed air dryer with an internal particulate filter. The Moisture Block was especially designed for use in light industrial environments where dry air is essential. The Moisture Block drys and filters up to 30 CFM of compressed air, for use with an air system running a 7.5 HP and smaller air compressors. The Moisture Block uses a loose fill of activated alumina desiccant beads.

The desiccant can be regenerated in an oven. Unlike competitive dryers, with the Moisture Block you are not locked into expensive proprietary cartridges or desiccant bags.

Desiccant Color Changing Indicator (Blue = Dry; Pink = Wet). Ball Valve (Drain / Depressurization). 24" (h) x 6" (w) x 6 (d). Anodized Aluminum Heads; Fiber Reinforced Plastic Shell. Designed and Manufactured in the United States. The Moisture Block is filled with activated alumina desiccant beads. These beads have a strong affinity for water vapor. Wet compressed enters the bottom of the Moisture Block and flows upward through the desiccant. Water vapor is absorbed from the air and is dry when it reaches the upper portion of the chamber. Before exiting the dryer, air passes through a filter cup within the top head. The filter cup holds media for removing oil mist and particulates. Clean dry air now leaves the Moisture Block and is ready for use.

The Moisture Block is intended for intermittent flow applications. Mount the dryer to a wall using the included bracket. For best results in air systems without an after cooler, allow at least 25 linear pipe feet between the compressor and the dryer.

This allows the compressed air to cool. Cool compressed air contains less water vapor and is dried more efficiently.

Connect air lines to the dryer's 1/2 inlet and outlet ports. You're now ready to deliver clean dry compressed air. Periodically inspect the color changing moisture indicator on the dryer. When the indicator turns pink, replace the desiccant beads.

Life of the desiccant will vary by application and is affected by temperature, pressure, and flow through the dryer. Typical life is 30 - 40 hours of flow at 30 CFM. The desiccant can be manually regenerated in an oven at 350F. A convection setting works best. The moisture indicator will return to blue after new or regenerated desiccant is installed.
